Game Rules
Welcome to BaseballLegends! Our platform is designed to offer the most engaging and strategic fantasy baseball experience possible. To ensure fairness and provide clarity for all players, we have outlined the official rules that govern our fantasy leagues. Please read through them carefully to fully understand how the game works.
1. Eligibility
To participate in BaseballLegends, you must be at least 18 years old and legally eligible to engage in fantasy sports activities. By registering for an account and participating in any game or league, you confirm that you meet the eligibility criteria.
2. Registration and Account
Players must create an account with BaseballLegends in order to participate in leagues. The registration process requires valid and accurate information, including your name, email address, and phone number. You are responsible for maintaining the accuracy and confidentiality of your account information.
Each user is allowed only one account. Duplicate accounts will result in immediate disqualification from any ongoing leagues.
3. Fantasy Draft
In BaseballLegends, you begin by drafting a fantasy team of players. Each player in the real-life baseball world is assigned a certain value, and your goal is to create the best team within the given budget constraints.
The draft order is randomized before the start of each season, and you will have the opportunity to select players in turn. A snake draft may be used to ensure fairness in team composition.
4. Scoring
Your fantasy team earns points based on real-life player performances. The scoring system is as follows:
- Batting: Points for hits, runs, home runs, RBIs, and stolen bases.
- Pitching: Points for strikeouts, wins, saves, and earned run average (ERA).
- Defensive: Points for fielding efficiency and defensive plays.
The more your players perform in their real-life games, the more points you earn. Your team will be ranked based on your accumulated points over the course of the season.
5. Trades and Transfers
During the season, you can trade players with other teams in your league. Trades must be mutually agreed upon by both teams and are subject to review to ensure fairness.
If a trade is deemed unfair or abusive, the BaseballLegends administration reserves the right to nullify the trade and impose penalties on the teams involved.
6. League Structure
BaseballLegends leagues consist of a group of players who compete against each other throughout the season. Leagues may vary in terms of size, draft type, and scoring rules, but all leagues are governed by the same general rules.
Each league has a set number of teams, and you will compete in head-to-head matchups, aiming to accumulate more points than your opponents. League rankings are updated regularly to reflect the performance of all teams.
7. Weekly Lineup
Each week, you will select a starting lineup from your roster. You can choose your players based on their real-life matchups and performance predictions.
Failure to set a lineup for the week will result in your team automatically using the previous week's lineup, and you may miss out on potential points.
8. Player Injuries and Substitutes
If a player on your team becomes injured or is unavailable for a game, you are permitted to substitute them with another player from your roster. Injuries must be reported, and substitutions must be made in accordance with the rules of the platform.
All substitutions are final and cannot be reversed once confirmed.
9. Penalties and Violations
Any violation of the rules, including cheating, collusion, or manipulation of the game in any way, may result in penalties or disqualification from the league. Violations are taken seriously and will be dealt with promptly by BaseballLegends administrators.
Penalties may include point deductions, suspension, or account termination. Players who engage in fraudulent activities will be banned from future participation in any BaseballLegends games or leagues.
10. Disputes and Arbitration
In case of disputes, players are encouraged to resolve the issue through communication with the league commissioner. If an issue cannot be resolved at that level, the BaseballLegends support team will assist in mediation.
Any disputes not resolved amicably will be handled through binding arbitration, and the decision of the arbitrator will be final.
11. Governing Law
These rules are governed by the laws of India. Any legal proceedings or disputes arising from the use of BaseballLegends will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
